Trek at Walmart

While I'm not a big fan of Walmart, I happened to be in one earlier today. They have a few good deals I'd like to share (Hope that's ok?).

Most of the Fan Collectives are $13 (Including Captain's Log, Q, Klingons, and Alternate Realities)

VOY Season 3 is $30

Best of TOS and Best of TNG are $10

If you've come across any good deals at your local Walmarts, I'd love to hear about them. I'm still looking for the $15 TNG Season 1. :)

Yeah I ran across some of those at the Walmart I work at. I have both The Best of TOS and TNG. I live to get TNG all seven seasons, but I want to get them on blu ray if they release it. If not I might get the dvd of them, but Im just waiting and see.

^No, but you can find practically brand new 7-season box sets on ebay for $100 or less. I got my set for $65. No help for the DS9's though, those sets are $150.

If you go Ebay be careful of the single box 7 year sets. The quality of mine was crap. Try to stick to the individual season boxed sets. Even if you buy the set of 7 seasons as a package.

You mean the green plastic disc holders? Yeah, that thing is as cheap as all hell. I threw it out in the first week. The discs are pristine though, I put them in a leather disc book, where I hope to put all the other series some day.

hey guys a quick question...

I already own all of the star trek episodes on DVD. Is there any point to buying the fan collectives or best of collections? do they offer anything more than what you can find in the dvds?

I believe some of them have commentary tracks. I'm not sure about any other additional material.

I've not seen any of the season set go below $40 at my local walmart, and they have few of them other than the first coule seasons of TNG and VOY.

I shop at Wal*Mart, and I don't make apologies.

Anyone who wants to pay large amounts of money more for the exact same merchandise are just idiots, in my opinion. :)

That said, the new box sets haven't arrived, and the movie toys (and merchanidise) have already shipped to the oversellers.

The Wal-Mart here has Next Gen seasons one, two and four for $39, Star Trek: Voyager seasons one and two for $39 and season 3 for $29.

So, needless to say, I've started collecting Voyager ;)

I want to say thanks for this thread again ... our WalMart is pretty lacking in options, but I did get the Q Fan Collective for $14, which is one I've been wanting. Much enjoyment has been had!

Not a problem!

I'd love to be kept up on any Trek deals people come across. I feel like I usually find out about these things weeks/months too late. :)
