Trek actors and cons... it's GREAT to be a Trek fan!

As my excitement for the Chicago con amps up, I was just thinking at how great it still is to be a Trek fan. We get a good portion of all the actors out and about to "meet" us, give talks and tell stories of "the good old days", and they're all over the place! We don't need San Diego once a year for this.

Original Series, TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise... what other franchise allows for meeting your heroes as easily as this?

I'm just stoked.

I've rarely had anything other than a positive experience with Trek actors at Cons. (or sci-fi actors in general.)
I've had some great conversations with some of the "secondary" characters who were the most genuine, kind people I've had the pleasure to meet.

It's true, I've been going to a more local con in Michigan every year for about 9 years now, and I don't think I've ever had a negative experience with any of the actors.

I don't know why it suddenly prompted me to post a new thread, but, I was just amazed at how cool the situation is. Fans and their experiences meeting the actors who bring these characters to life. It's just too cool, and it's been going on forever! Trek basically did it first, and they still do it best.
