"Tray app" problem in computer

Hello, I hope someone can help, lately I've been getting this "program" trying to boot up whenever I turn on my PC or reboot it. The program comes up as "Tray app" and the only way for me to get rid of it is by going to windows task manager and disabling it there. I've done some google searching for the problem and I haven't found much solutions except that this is a known problem with HP PC's (I have Compaq). I never had this problem all the time, but it seems recent. I do have an HP printer and digital camera software installed, could any of that have something to do with it? I disabled some of that software but I'm still getting the problem. It's ok since I can disable it by windows task manager, but there has to be a way to get rid of it completey :)

Thanks in advance.

If you're running XP, pull up RUN from your start menu, type in "msconfig." Go to the "startup" tab, find the app, and disable it from startup.

If you're on Vista/Win7, type "msconfig" in the search bar, and hit enter. It loads the same program.

If you're running Win2000 or earlier, get a new computer.
