Hi everybody,

I attended Toy Fair 2009 today and visited the Hasbro showroom where several toys/characters from the upcoming Transformers movie were featured. I thought I'd share some of the galleries on my web site. There are more than these, but these are the most relevant to the movie. Enjoy!

Press release photographs
Photos provided by Hasbro in a press kit showing the various toys from the movie.

Scavenger's robot mode is certainly... odd. I'm not really sold on Devastator.
After seeing him up close, I realized that he looks very much like a modern day homage to Beast Machines Thrust. Even his head design has a resemblance. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but even his color scheme is similar to Thrust's so it'd be one heck of a coincidence!

Ben, I'm glad to see your site it back. I've missed it.

I don't know that I'll be buying these new TFs, unless a better version of Prime is released than the one shown at Toy Fair.

Devastator looks great, and I like Optimus, too, although the windshield shutters seem a bit large.

Do the individual Constructicons have robot forms?

The six pack that forms Devastator just goes from vehicle to the combiner. There will however be individual Constructicons that don't combine, but do have robot forms. In the deluxe gallery Rampage is one of these. The Voyager gallery shows Scavenger. I believe the others are going to be made as well.

These look awesome. I won't be able to afford getting most, if any of them. I'll pick up Soundwave, but I doubt anyone else.

Sorry, double post. For some reason the BBS is loading slow and it didn't refresh the page.

Thanks! Glad you enjoy it.

The Prime doesn't look good in that picture because by that point several people had messed with it. Up close, it's a really nice piece. They managed to take the exact same truck mode, but make it a thinner, leaner piece with parts arranging in robot mode the same way as the movie. Whereas the first Leader Class Prime toy was about 85% accurate to the movie model, I'd place this one at 95%.
