Transformers:Animated- Seen it? No? Do so! You won't be Sari!

Aquehonga

Fleet Captain
Pun fully intended:alienblush: My bad:( I know!

Or maybe I'm jumping you folks's guns premature-like & you will be :mad:Sari for taking my advice & watching TF:A.

Anyway I couldn't help but be curious about TF:A & decided to wade into it, just 1 or 2 episodes at first, then go from there.

I went into TF:A expecting a trainwreck & came away with a tad fender-bender:hugegrin:

TF:A's not halfbad. Once you get over/past TF:A's animation-style, its alright {IMO anyway}. TF:A's very G1 influenced/inspired:techman:, Prime having a face notwithstanding.

Despite all that there's the Chin(s) Issue. ALL the TFs on TF:A have HUGE LONG CHINS! :wtf:

I seriously think Jay Leno was the creator of TF:A's TFs. JAY LENO is to these TFs what the Quintessons were to the G1 cartoon TFs & Primus was to the G1 Marvel Comic TFs.
And its ALL of them except maybe Lance Hendriksen's character, Stealth Lockdown.

TF:A has to do a 5-parter entitled “The 5 Chins of Jay Leno” explaining how he created the(se) TFs millions of years ago.

How'bout renaming TF:A's factions DeceptiJays & Lenobots?

Aside from those things TF:A's OK.

 note- TF:A toy Soundwave is a guitargetmaster:beer: The Stealth Lockdown toy is groovy too as it's engine turns into a gun. Makes SL a powermaster & targetmaster at the same time:techman:

So if you do check out TF:A, here's hoping you won't be Sari (horrendous pun intended, me).

I'll second most of this, although I suspect I like it a bit more than you do. I've seen every one of the 29 episodes so far, and I can definitely say its the best TF series since Beast Wars and might even, one day, surpass those heights.

Of course parts are a little childish - it is for kids - and the animation does take some getting used to, but the writing is, in general, rock solid and has fun with the Transformers, and hey, Transformers is a fun concept that kids should be allowed to enjoy too :D

The episodes greatly improved in the last 10 episodes or so, and the stories seem to get better. I like the use of a lot of the G1 characters.

The thing I dislike most about it is Sari. "i'm a precocious little girl, and i have big giant robots to play with! Aren't I cute?????

Well I did give the warning that you might be Sari. Alas you're the first Sari TF:A viewer on the thread.

How'bout them thar Lenoid CHINS?

Sari's the kind of character who could be annoying, but I think they manage to avert it. Largely because she's played by Tara Strong, who can do no wrong. And I think it's cool that the main human character in something as boy-oriented as a Transformers show is a girl.

I miss the show already, it's been so long since a new episode aired. Finally after getting through the multitude of series that were created in Japan and then dubbed for US audiences (Armada, Cybertron, and Robots in Disguise), it's great to have a US-written series where Optimus's 3rd word isn't always "huhhh?" or a 30-second pose while they say "<insert Autobot name here> Transfooooooorm!" This series has LOADS of G1 references and I thoroughly enjoy it. I don't mind the chins, it's just the animation style of the show. The voices are all great too, Tom Kenny does a great Starscream, and it's hard to live up to the character voice defined by Chris Latta <RIP> in G1.
