I think my favorite take, at least recently, is his season seven episode of Agents of SHIELD, "As I Have Always Been."

Palm Springs was a really good recent time loop movie.
i don’t know, didn’t they literally just destroy all the daleks once and for all though? And the Sontarans. And cybermen. And Pluto, Saturn, the moon, the sun and much of the universe?
Yes, but this isn't the Daleks' first supposedly extinct once and for all! Hell, this isn't their second, third, or fourth go around (give or take).
They normally take longer to return than the next episode!
So they've learned how to rebound from extinction a lot quicker. Considering how many extinctions they've been through at this point, a shorter rebound time isn't the most ridiculous idea out there.
It's actually pretty funny when you think about it! They're all blown up in a spectacular finale! But then they're back in the next story!
Although, to be fair, I don't think it was stated that ALL the Daleks were at the "negotiations." Certainly, some would be protecting their surviving conquests, subjugating populations, etc. And, if they were all destroyed at the end of the flux, there would be Daleks in other time zones too. You'd really need to destroy all of them in all time zones.
In a bit of reverse-Doctor Who news: I've been going on and on about how excited I am about Aisling Bea appearing in this episode, partially because I originally saw her regularly on QI, and I just found out that Bonnie Langford will be in this year's Christmas episode for the panel show!
