Toy Story 3 Question.

Granted I've not seen this movie yet, obviously, and few others have but I just sort-of wonder.

Why are Buzz and Woody disposed of? Why wouldn't Andy keep them? I mean, they're his favorite toys! I still have all of my favorite toys in storage and a couple really favorite ones on display! So, what gives Andy? Why hate on your toys so much? I mean, sure, no one would expect you to keep the secondary toys like Mr. Potato Head or the plastic dinosaur but Woody and Buzz? Man, those two were like brothers to you! Take them to your dorm and display them on your shelf!

Just wait for the movie, it'll answer all those questions.

And make you cry too, if the handful of reviews so far are any indication.

Yeah, he wants to keep woody but decides to put the toys in the attic for when he gets back, not much room at college I guess. There is a 'hilarious' mix-up and bam, we get a movie

It's in the trailer. They're suppsed to go to the attic but Andy's sister calls Andy away and his mom thinks the bag is trash before Andy gets back.

So, I assume you've kept everything from your childhood? Usually, when someone grows up, toys that are no longer needed are given to the salvation army or other charities. At least that's what my Mom did, and I think this is what Andy's mother is doing too. He's grown up and he won't be needing them in college. Buzz Lightyear and his friends have graduated to daycare, but they don't like it. Too many germs.

And to answer your question, yes I still have most of my childhood toys. Even a friend is like "You still have all your toys?!" Most people keep them and give them to their own children.

Got something to say, or....

I didn't keep any of my toys. I always eventually took them apart to see how they worked, and to see if I could combine them to make new things. I was basically the villain from the first movie... minus the dynamite.
