Totally OT - my wifes artistry

You seem to have it set up perfectly. She can never complain about your hobbie anyway haha.

I was looking through some of the other doll houses on your site, she has a wonder sense of decor and color.

stunning... just needs a Trek Teddy on one of the beds... :D

WOW. That is amazing. I looked around on there and saw the other houses, and they're great too.

Just out of curiosity, does she have a preferred place to get her vegetation and the such? I have a diorama in mind and good sources are always helpful.

You wifes work is always amazing. I gotta wonder how you two found each other and if you two ever do try to help the other out?

Wow. I never thought I would say this, but that is one amazing dollhouse! The closeups look real!

We met in art school, appropriately enough :).
As for helping each other out, it usually takes the form of "do you have any 3/16 plastic tube?

Our only actual collaboration was 20 years ago when we made a couple of models for a friend's birthday. He once commented on wanting to be a private eye, so we got together and built him an office and a car:

(Yes, he's that messy in real life).

I think you need to make a large scale Trek model and let your wife have at it with the interiors!

Wow, awesome work, if she's ever thinking about adding something then let her make a basement.. with you in it building models.. ;)

whoa! that piano isn't canon! ;)

truly, fantastic work. your house must be an amazing place.

While I'm in the basement building models, she's in her workroom building dollhouses. Here's her latest project, finally finished after two solid years of work:

That's some amazing work!

I must admit that I'm not exactly an authority on dollhouses, but is it common for the rooms of a dollhouse not to interconnect, by way of doors, hallways, stairways, etc.? I'm not criticizing your wife's work. I'm just wondering about the practice in general.

Cool stuff!
