TOS Suggestions

Spock's World by Diane Duane is probably my favorite of the TOS-era novels I've read. I'd include it on a list of my 20 greatest sci-fi novels, she breathes a life into the entire Vulcan race that I had never previously thought possible. Also My Enemy, My Ally by her is awesome. And don't worry if you kind find it at a used book store, they just republished it in Rihannsu: The Bloodwing Voyages.

All three of the Vanguard novels have been good to great so far. Just a word of warning about the first book, ignore the blurb. There's not as much about Kirk and Co. as the back cover makes it sound.

And while not a novel, the anthology Constellations has a great collection of stories about the original crew. There isn't one bad story in there, and "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" kept me laughing the whole time I was reading it. And of course "Make-Believe" almost made me cry, so it's a great book.
