A String of Pearls

Romulan expansion of infrastructure into neighboring star systems has a number of planets panicking, and claiming the Romulan/Federation neutral zone is to blame. The Enterprise plays host to several delegations, some of whom are now petitioning for membership, merely out of fear of being overtaken

Kirk must keep the peace long enough to ascertain what's really behind the development & what can be done about it

THE BANALITY OF EVIL

Klingon operatives, all former supporters of the older, less-kind, less-gentle Kang invade the Enterprise and annihilate 25 security guards. Kirk is about to massively retaliate until Spock reminds the Captain that none of the 25 men possessed first or last names. This gives Kirk the incentive to forget about the whole thing provided the Klingon invaders leave the ship, which they do. None of the Klingons are present to witness the concluding bellyslapper in the bridge epilogue. All is well, until next week. Featuring Lou Wagner as Guard #14.

In the spirit of "The Naked Time", whose title was more about baring raw emotions than the other meaning of the word:
"Lust In Spacedock" -
Enterprise is docked at Starbase 3 to undergo repairs, alongside an experimental Maravite ship that is parked there for a diplomatic meeting. Scotty becomes unusually enamored of the ship's design and spends more time studying it than fixing the Enterprise, to the point that an accident happens, injuring an engineering technician. Unbeknownst to anyone, the Maravite ship is alive and runs on the energy of living minds, luring its victims to their deaths. Can Spock break the hold on Scotty without sacrificing his own mind?

Argumentum Ad Baculum
An offshoot organization of the Romulan empire that would later become the Tal Shiar has started making illegal excursions into the Neutral Zone in an attempt to destabilize the Federation. It takes a firm reminder from the Vulcans that they fully support the Federation and will, if necessary, go to war with Romulus with other Federation members to defend it, to make the Romulans cease and desist.

Meanwhile, Scotty caught two new ensigns in Engineering breaking into his secret whisky stash...

Going Nowhere Fast

While trapped inside a spacial warp field anomaly, the Enterprise must maintain maximum warp for a dangerously long period of time to avoid the anomaly closing in on them. While essentially immobile, & trying to outrace their own destruction coming at them, unusual beings of light, existing in the strange void, come aboard, revealing that they are tasked with repairing the odd rupture, so they can return the Enterprise to normal space, & avert the problematic occurrence from disrupting their hitherto unknown existence.

The only issue is that for it to work, the crew must all don their spacesuits and exist in the vacuum of space, as the ship is distorted thru space/time, while they hope the ship will rematerialize around them.
