TOS Bridge coffee table

What the hell?! This is SO cool! Very unique idea. I kinda want this now.

There’s also a second video where it is shown with the lights turned on. The detail on this is simply astonishing. Even the frickin’ moiré thingies do actually spin!

Only thing I wonder is why they don’t just watch the episodes on the main viewing screen, haha.

1/6th scale...Barbie (or "classic" GI Joe) sized. Those high end 12 inch tall Trek dolls (by QMC or something like that?) would be perfect for this arrangement.

Dang clever idea, making the display a coffee table so that the floor space it consumes is not otherwise "lost".

I'd be scared somebody might accidentally kick it while lounging upon the nearby sofa and chair.

The bridge interior is roughly 30 feet across. So that means the model is 5 feet across. Even as a coffee table, that's a lot of floor space. And it's wildly awesome. The lighting job alone is master modeling.

Regarding accidents, I'm picturing some big, clumsy pal you have over sitting down in front of the table and throwing his feet up, so they plop down hard on the glass in big, heavy work boots. Or he spills beer on it and it goes down the seams.

I don't have to picture it. I suffered through it! Yes, I had an oafish acquaintance who was frustratingly accident prone. I recall bringing him along to a weekend convention. As we exited my car, he managed to spill an entire soda upon a manila envelope I had full of drawings I made! Thank the Fates the envelope blocked the worst of the spill, but the drawings at the top of the stack did get moistened! That wasn't the only time he caused that sort of disaster, but that's the one that immediately comes to mind as the most irritating.

I don't know if anyone posted these around here but holy cow. This is GREAT custom work...3d printing has enhanced things so much in the way of models/toys etc...

Coolest thing I have ever seen in star trek products. Too bad this is a one and done. But it's almost perfect. The captains chair is a bit too close to the helm but other than that it's really cool..
