Torchwood Encyclopedia!

Yes you heard right...just found out that there is a Torchwood Encyclopedia coming out in Oct written by Gary Russel, the same bloke who wrote the excellent Doctor Who Encyclopedia that came out last year. So it seems that along with Justin Richards Ultimate Monster Guide that the Torchwood Encyclopedia will be the two main big cofee table books out for Christmas this year, unles anything else sneaks across. Here's a review.

Sounds good. I think the reviewer is a bit unfair in the criticism regarding the book not referencing the novels, though. The Doctor Who guides published by the BBC generally just stick to the TV show, too. The fact the TW book includes the BBC Radio episodes is a bonus, but they didn't need to include them.

Someday someone will do a full out "everything plus the kitchen sink" reference guide that includes all the spin-offs, too (The TARDIS Index File Wikia is the closest we have right now, though some of the "unofficial" reference books come close), but as far as the BBC Books reference releases like this, we should only expect the televised stories (and maybe official radio plays) to be included.

I'm not a big fan of Torchwood besides the mini series... I might pick it up though.
