I quite enjoyed it, however my image of the glowing aliens, was that of the glowing Monty Burns from the Simpsons X-Files episode.

Flawed, I thought, the main problem (for a UK radio listener) ironically being that it was part of the Big Bang Day on Radio 4 - nestled in among the other programmes about what's actually going on at CERN, the artistic licence/Who science grated more than it usually would, while the exposition to Ianto and Gwen made them seem the thickest people on the planet...
I'd imagine it works better in isolation though.
