Top Ten Summer 2013 Movies

What are your favorite movies this summer? I'm counting the summer season as May - June - July.


1. Man of Steel: sure I have some complaints but it was a huge epic Superman movie at long last and I really dug it.

2. Star Trek 2: great sequel. could have done with less of the rehashing, but great story with great villains.

3. Iron Man 3: solid movie, but I really, really didn't like what they did with the Mandarin.

4. Fast Six: this series just keeps getting bigger and better.

5. White House Down: really good dumb popcorn entertainment.

6. Pacific Rim: great flick

7. World War Z: if only they'd actually done the book... still it was good.

8. Lone Ranger: I really enjoyed it, but it was definitely too long.

9. RIPD: guess I'm in the minority but I liked this one and I loved Reynolds and Bridges together.

10. Despicable Me 2: the Minions are cute as always but the main story and villain were lame.

If we extend the season to include August then I would definitely put Elysium and World's End up there.
