Top 5 time travel episodes?

Commander
Hey, what are your favorite time travel episodes?

Trials and Tribbleations
Before and After
Time's Arrow
Visionary
Cause and Effect

Least favorite- "Past Tense", some of the absolute worst preachy crap in Trek at that time, beaten only be "Far Beyond the Stars" for me.

Note: I do not count "Yesterday's Enterprise" or "Year of Hell" as time travel enterprise.
Our crew did not time travel in YE and the crew didn't time travel at all in YOH.

5 episodes - 5 series. Two of mine are not the standard travel back in time episodes which is why I like them.

TOS - City on the Edge of Forever
TNG - Yesterday's Enterprise
DS9 - Trials and Tribbleations
VOY - Blink of an Eye
ENT - E2 (squared)

VOY - Blink of an Eye

I really would not class this a time travel episode in any way, shape or form.

Not surprising from someone who does not consider "Yesterday's Enterprise" a time travel episode. It does not always have to be the main cast going back in time. I liked the concept of time traveling at two different speeds, the crew watching civilization develop on the planet, and a cast member getting stuck for for a few minutes Voyager time while spending many years on the planet, and the person from the planet spending a short time on voyager and then returning to a very different time on his planet.

It was time travel, but not the forward/backward done to death method.

Any episode in which the crew or a member of the crew time travels is a time travel episode. If none of the crew time travel at any point, it is not a time travel episode.

Most of my favorite time travel episodes are on TOS. Here they are:

The City Of The Edge Of Forever
All Our Yesterdays
Tommrow is Yesterday
Patterns of Force
And here are few others there not really time travel but are based on things from past:

Plato's Stepchildern: Greek themes from past in episode
Piece of the Action: Chicago gansta themes of the past
Bread And Circues: Greek and Olympic type games of the past

City on the Edge of Forever (TOS)
Trials and Tribbleations (DS9)
All Good Things (TNG)
Relativity (VOY)
Children of Time (DS9)

TOS - All Our Yesterdays
TOS - City on the Edge of Forever
TNG - Yesterday's Enterprise
TNG - All Good Things...
DS9 - Trials and Tribble-ations
DS9 - Children of Time

yes, I know, that's 6... I can't decide. And I might have forgotten some, there are just too many time travel episodes.

I don't remember Patterns of Force having any time travel in it? (I also find it a rather silly and cheesy episode, but that's another matter)

IMO Time's Arrow was one of the worst, although it was fun in a cheesy way.

I consider the Doctor to be a crew member. I consider his traveling through time at a different rate, in a different time stream to be a twist on traveling through time. Traveling though time? Time travel? Is their a difference?k

Of course you are allowed to have your opinion and I hope I'm allowed to have mine. It does not bother me that your opinion is different than mine. Why does it bother you so much that my opinion is different than yours?

Tomorrow Is Yesterday
City on the Edge of Forever
Cause and Effect
Future's End
Relativity

I really feel like I'm leaving a lot out.

1) "Trials and Tribble-ations"
2) "Yesterday's Enterprise"
3) "The City on the Edge of Forever"
4) "Cause and Effect"
5) "Time Squared"

If I could add a sixth, it would be "All Good Things...". I liked "Time's Arrow" the first few times I saw it, but now I hate it. Mark Twain is annoying as hell (pity the actor played him like he did...the guy was great on The X-Files and could have been a fine guest star on TNG too if he'd used a different voice) and the second part is horribly absurd, but there are some fun bits in the first part. I wish those episodes had been replaced with "Clues" and "Time Squared" on the time travel collection.

I'm happy to see people praising "Tomorrow is Yesterday" in this thread. I understand why some people may not like it since it's so goofy and the ending is laughably implausible, but I dig it. It's not one of the best "Star Trek" episodes, but I find it entertaining and as silly as the resolution is, I don't find it so insulting to one's intelligence that I can't enjoy the episode in spite of it.

I think "Time Squared" is way underrated. Nobody ever seems to talk about it, but I consider it one of the ten best TNG episodes. It's similar to and not as good as "Cause and Effect", but I think it has some really cool scenes that make it good in its own unique ways. Picard's 'double' is a fantastically creepy mystery, and I love Picard's disgust at its emotional state and the trippy scene where they're walking through the ship together with Picard trying to reason with it.

Future's End
Relativity

Its hard isn't it?
Personally I thought Future's End was a bit of a mess and Relativity was good since Seven was in it <3 , but apart from that it wasn't great.

Relativity scores points with me because the ship was cool looking, both exterior and interior. And it was awesome to finally see the Utopia Planitia shipyards.

1) City on the Edge of Forever (I always thought of this as the "best" episode of TOS, thought not my favourite. Lately though when I've watched it, it strikes all the right chords with me, and might be my favourite episode of TOS)
2) Trials and Tribble-ations (A love letter to TOS, and a fine episode of DS9)
3) All Good Things... (That pesky Q, causing endlessly entertaining trouble)
4) The Visitor (A very touching story)
5) Yesterday's Enterprise (Yeah, the main characters at the time didn't time travel, but Yar did, and I just liked the look of the Enterprise-C
