I wish there could be three-ways, since The Most Toys, Hollow Pursuits, and Tin Man are the best IMHO. I settled on Tin Man and Hollow Pursuits. .

Sarek and Menage a Troi. But the latter was ruined by a terrible German voice actress for Lwaxana Troi. She had a better voice actress in the DS9 episodes. She was spoken by different voice actresses. During the run of TNG none of them were a good match, though.

Thanks everyone... I suspected Best of Both Worlds would have been at or near the top of a poll, so I left that one off. I was trying to get a feel for the eps that are generally favorites of the remaining eps I have left to watch for s3.

So far, seems like Sarek , The Most Toys, and Sins of the Father are tops.

I found Transfigurations a bit vanilla. Captain's Holiday is underrated however. The Most Toys is the deepest in how it challenges Data. So that's my first pick.

But I'm having trouble picking out one for my 2nd choice. They are creative and interesting episodes. Sins of Father is a great, underrated episode. It's great to see Sarek in Sarek and he was given a plausible, elegant role. It was far more than bashing people over the head with sledgehammer TOS references. Allegiance has synthetic-Picard having a sing-a-long,lol -- that one was always a winner with me. With Tin Man you have that tortured guy and I love it when the Romulans are up to some big caper or other. I suppose I'll give it to Sarek. But I feel a bit guilty given the other choices on offer....good thread btw.

I am pretty sure Data is my favorite character in this series (that may be a common sentiment, not sure)...
