What do you consider to be the 10 best episodes of DS9?

Here is my list:
1 Rocks and Shoals (Season 6)
2 Call to Arms (Season 5)
3 In Purgatory’s Shadow/ By Inferno’s Light (Season 5)
4 Improbable Cause/ The Die is Cast (Season 3)
5 Homefront/ Paradise Lost (Season 4)
6 What You Leave Behind P1/P2 (Season 7)
7 The Dogs of War (Season 7)
8 Past Tense P1/P2 (Season 3)
9 Treachery, Faith, and the Great River (Season 7)
10 Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges (Season 7)

I just finished the series, so I'm still formulating my opinion on a lot of episodes. So, with that said, my opinion is likely to change with time. Also, I grouped certain episodes together even if they weren't technically 2-parters because the story began in one episode and concluded in the next.

Great choices, everyone!

If I'd asked for the top 20 episodes, episodes like In the Pale Moonlight and Way of the Warrior would have definitely made my list. There were so many terrific episodes. It's very hard to pick favorites.

Just as I said in my original post, my opinion is changing all the time, so I ended up going back and updating my original list to reflect this. It's the same group of episodes, just in a different order.

I'm confused... because I'm tired... but you want literally what we liked the most... when you say from best to worst ... we're not including like... favourite yet painful viewing experiences, are we?

^ From best to worst I meant choosing your 10 favorites and listing your absolute favorite on the top of the list, with your next favorite being listed right below it, and so forth. "Worst" was a poor choice of words since all of these episodes are fantastic. I'll edit my post and get rid of that part so it's less confusing. Sorry about that.

I'm not going to rank them because that would take deliberation, but here's my top 10 in chronological order:

1. Duet
2. The Circle Trilogy
3. The Maquis
4. The Way of the Warrior
5. Call to Arms
6. Rocks and Scoals
7. Waltz
8. In the Pale Moonlight
9. Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges
10. The Changing Face of Evil

I made it. Sort of. I left a ton out and I feel like I cheated by counting multi-parters as one.

Something struck me while looking at this list and how it's tilted toward the later seasons: if you put together early-TOS, mid-TNG, and late-DS9, you'd have the most rock solid composite Star Trek series ever.

Hahaha, yes, I do. I thought it was a great episode with lots of drama and a good social commentary.
