tonight i saw an episode i'd never seen before

KELLER IS STILL IN THERE!!!! keller is still in there... keller is still in there!!!

"We got to bring the isolation door down !"
"Bring down the door !"
"But Keller is still in there !"
"Ensign Keller answer me !!!"

or was it Ensign Kellogg ?
:)

Was that a memory of an actual evacuation in engineering that we never witnessed ? I mean the mind rapist was augmenting traumatic memories that his victims already had as I recall.

I remember reading in the Starlog TNG magazines that Riker's flashback/rape scene was going to be different. Originally it was also going to involve Ro and a prisoner exchange that went wrong. I think that would have been a lot more interesting for a whole host of reasons. Pity they decided to go with the engineering scene. I read an interview with Frakes that said he was pretty unimpressed with his flashback, thinking that Riker's attitudte to such a happening would be more measured than that.

I do like "Violations." It is a creepy ep, and it was meant to be.

My "lost" ep was "Data's Day." For years, I'd never seen it, then I finally saw it a few years ago. Not bad, but not a particularly stand-out Data episode, IMHO.

RR

My missing episodes remain The Loss, and both parts of Birthright. These two have eluded me for years.

The Loss might be my favorite Marina Sirtis episode. Some people just find it annoying however.

Birthright on the other hand ... you're not missing much there. Maybe the most pointless 2-parter in the series run. There's a few neat scenes with Data though.

Agree with you about The Loss and Birthright.

Me, too. The Loss is one of my favourite episodes. I like the Riker/Troi stuff and the insights into their relationship. By the time Birthright rolled around I was tired of the Klingon episodes.

Yeah, I agree with the point about Birthright. And then they went and made things worse by by having a follow up showing Kahless' return??? I thought those two episodes undid a lot of very good stuff they did with Worf and the Klingons in generally in the first few seasons.

Too bad your 'lost' episode was that one. Not a very good one if I recall.

Yeah, and they even managed to repeat it and call it "Nemesis."
Part of it, anyway.

It was such a promising opener, too. With Keiko's flashback.
