Honestly, I'm surprised we didn't get a series sooner.

And how did I miss the news that they're (presumably) doing a Nic Cage Spiderman Noir series? That's awesome!
That news only just came out yesterday, so don't feel too bad.
^ Word is they keep writing "amazingly sensitive and fiercely anti-colonialist" pilots in which Lara realizes that cultural appropriation is exploitative and decides to become an anthropologist dedicated to preserving native folklore and languages, but that they're having trouble thinking up popcorn-worthy action stories for the next few episodes...

I like Fleabag, but other than basic screenwriting competence, I don't see why it would point to Waller-Bridge as being the ideal candidate to write/head a pulp adventure show. A Tomb Raider show should feature an attractive, athletic young woman doing Indiana Jones-type stuff. It's meat-and-potatoes genre stuff that hardly cries out for a unique authorial voice, any more than, say, a hypothetical GI Joe show would cry out for a writer like Aaron Sorkin.

I don't live in England. So I don't know how trashy a site or newspaper it is. If it's like our Turkish newspapers and news sites, yes it could be trash.
So is this movie happening or not? Seems like conflicting information.
