Newest game from the bastardized Faux-/Subgenre of "Destiny-likes", i.e. Shared World Loot-oriented First Person Shooters With Some Almost-MMO Aspirations But Not Really, which is my favorite name for any genre ever.
I've played during the Alpha as well as the (Closed) Beta tests and the final release has left a very strong first impression so far (couple of hours in). The pre-Manhattan opening is very cool and I can see why they left that out of the Alpha and Beta versions. Overall the game looks gorgeous on XBONE, with a very stable framerate so far. Certainly feels like a huge (perceived) step up from the visuals in the Alpha, which had left me a tad disappointed.
Haven't played co-op yet with my buddy so I can only speak to solo play so far. Of course, the interesting part will be longevity i.e. quality and scope of the endgame, which, continued player engagement is usually what the genre is generally aiming for.
