To stop bullying, Master Chief needs to emote, What?!

Ah, yes, Master Chief: the hero of humanity who I can't ever recall even raising his voice, let alone cursing someone out; a loyal soldier who does whatever is asked of him to save others, be they male or female. Master Chief is such a poor role model for young boys because he doesn't sit down and have a good cry with his local LGBT sensitivity coach after every firefight, but instead soldiers on as a one-man army to save the world from alien invaders. What a cad.

Stoicism = dead beat dad? I guess? Have these people ever played a game before? Like, any game? If kids actually did emulate characters like Master Chief, the only comms traffic during Halo online matches would be mission specific and to the point. It's because parents refuse to teach their twelve year old sons how to interact with people or discipline them when they act like ignorant fools, that online gaming is largely a flamewar free-for-all. Don't blame Master Chief for people acting like assholes. Most people ARE assholes. Doubly so when there is no chance of an actual social or physical response from their target.

Are they seriously going to blame bullying and raging on the characters in games? People who write that sort of stuff should try playing a game, get absorbed, almost manage to do something awesome, then get killed by some other player.. They might start to understand that "nerdrage" is not the same as bullying someone. Personally I stay away from games where people get that angry and screamy, I don't like competition and I don't find being screamed at very relaxing.

Let's stop making heroes cool. Lets make them more human. Everyone wants to play a game where they get to be some lame, normal person. And why not remove the cool from movie characters!
I wouldn't really recommend a lot of heroes from games as role models though.. that's silly. It's a game, not a self realization session.. If the only rolemodel in your life is Mr.Halodude.. then yeah, you might turn out weird.

Ah yes, the puling quims of sensitivity have spoken again. Really? Master Chief needs to have a good cry? That's not the Master Chief. And WTF does he have to do with bullying?

WOW, some folks really need a mother.
