TNG influence on Quorra from Tron?

OK...am I just imagining it, or was there possibly a little influence in the "aesthetic" of Quorra, in Tron, from TNG? Specifically, from Lal?

Of course, Quorra has much more of a cyberpunk/badass element to her (and I think Quorra did better in the haircut department!), but there does seem to be something in the basic appearance, and the moments when we really see Quorra's innocence as an "iso," that reminded me quite strongly of Lal.

I really do wonder if her appearance was at all influenced by that episode.

Huh, nice coincidence really. But I doubt there's anything intentional between the two, aside from both series having David Warner.

Didn't realize that was David Warner, but as soon as you said it it was really easy to tell that Warner had been playing Sark.

You can't really compare the hotness of Quorra with the staleness of a TNG character...

...Especially Lal...

No. Olivia Wilde has stated in interviews that Quorra's appearance and personality were modelled on Joan of Arc.

Didn't realize that was David Warner, but as soon as you said it it was really easy to tell that Warner had been playing Sark.

Cool how he played all three villains, hm? Dillinger, Sark and he voiced the MCP.

Some folks on youtube assumed it was Alan Rickman when they saw him, saying stuff like "Is that Red Leader guy Snape?"
