TNG in few sentences

JesterFace

Fleet Captain
Commodore
The 7 word TNG is fun, but so limiting... How about a thread with possibility to continue a story with 2, maybe 3 sentences that are not massive?

Let's see if this caughts interest!

I'll start:

STARDATE 44563.6.
The Enterprise-D was arriving to an uncharted solar system. Captain Picard was in a very good mood and decided he wanted to meet Data's cat because it was so cute.

Stardate 46777.9
A look at a routine, normal, day on the ship as it travels at warp to its next mission/exploration destination. Nothing exciting happens, no on-ship disease, crisis, boarding, or encounter with unexpected MacGuffins. Just a look at how a normal day on the ship is. Picard in the Ready room reading reports, listening to music and nodding off. Riker on the bridge with his arm supporting his head as he falls asleep. Worf doing some squats and rolling his head to try and stay limber and reduce strain from standing in one place. Crusher healing bruises and bumps, Troi doing mundane counseling sessions, Geordi doing routine diagnostics and trying to figure out that troublesome Starboard Power Coupling, and Data on the bridge just sitting there looking at the screen staring, not really being able to tell if he's on or off.

At the end of the episode the helmsman in a bored, monotone, voice says, "18 hours to our destination sir."

Interesting read there :) but I guess my original post didn't say clearly enough that I meant that the story continues from post to the next.

That sounds like a script for a certain Youtube take on TNG I remember.

When told, Data was surprised. "This is unexpected, sir, as you barely tolerate children. However, Spot is considerably more intelligent than juvenile humans, so you will have a much more intellectually rewarding experience."

Wesley spoke up from his station. "I think I've just been insulted."

"You have," Worf growled, frowning at Data in disapproval. "Your honor has just been challenged. What do you plan to do about it?"
