TNG 'Cause and Effect' UK BBC Transmission Date

Hi

I hope I've got the right forum I remember TNG being broadcast (re-run) in the UK during the late 1990s and I'm trying to pinpoint the date that 'Cause and Effect' was transmitted. It was probably between 1998-9 but I can't find specific info the web:

A curious question - may we ask why you need to know?

There used to be a pilot BBC web database that had all archival broadcast information. You'd just type in the show/episode and it came up with every single time that programme had been on across BBC1-4. It was invaluable, but sadly isn't being run anymore (unless some one was able to save a copy of it somehow!?)

For what it's worth, Cause & Effect was first broadcast on BBC2 on Wednesday 19th April 1995. The complete series re-run began in September 1996 with Season 1, meaning your estimate of around 1998 for the C&E repeat would be right. No help with the exact date though, unless some one comes through with info on that BBC database I mentioned!!

I remember watching TNG during that time and I had a VHS with content I recorded (for example, Robot Wars), including this episode. The tape died years ago but I thought it would be great if I could reconstruct what was shown that day/week, kind of a personal project.

The confirmation of 1998 is great, that is half of what I was looking for. Thank you
