Titan-A effects shots

Season is not out yet.
I am excited for the Titan-A from what I've seen so far. Quick flybys.

I REALLY miss model effect shots.
'Member Star Trek 6, you see a well bright lit Ent-A model fly by Chang's view screen.

Now effects have a digital filter applied to everything called "motion blur" which makes everything look "more realistic" but you lose that beautiful detail.

TerryM is pretty excited about this thing.
I hope the VFX is up to my standards.

There was a comparison with a not-finished effect shot from the SNW-Enterprise on Twitter some weeks ago, where they showed her without the motion blur. Every comment under that particular post said it looked better without the blur. So, yes. Some might argue it looks more "realistic", but I also miss the old effect shots where it all looked more down to earth. To me, the best model effects were done during the film era and the most beautiful are in ST-III, VII and VIII. :-)

I never liked that shot of the Ent-A in TUC, it looked overly lit and just seemed a bit of a poor shot. To me, anyway.

There's 21 years between LDS and Picard S3, so there's still plenty of space to tell more stories with the Luna one.

Titan's launch is great, the camera lingers on the ship instead of quickly cutting away or shaking and blurring everything.

A reason is supposed to be given in S3 as to why the Luna Titan was retired fairly early (I think -- maybe I'm confusing it with the Ent-E).

IIRC Terry said both ships were retired.

I liked it. They were able to use the lights of SpaceDock to illuminate. Very enjoyable.

No, but Polar Lights has started branching out into new ship designs like the Oberth, some Discovery ships, and the La Sirena, so it seems they're in the market to make new ship model kits. The Titan would be a good one.
