Discuss times a situation called for a variation of a Trek quote and it entered your head/mind. I'll start:

I once bought a doughnut from Greggs, it clearly had something wrong with it as it tasted really bitter, in my head I was like "ahhhh hhhhaaa haaa bitter Greggs".

I could hear noises in my back garden, I couldn't figure of what it was "some, kind, of, creature".

When my wife says something and I didn't hear it, I say what the first time if I still don't hear her: "one more time!".

Don't know if there was a specific occasion, but that song does get stuck in your head sometimes.

I don't need to see any tribbles on that plate before I use that quote, though.

Perhpas you should specify the quotations you are varying.

Spock singing "Bitter Dreggs" from Platos stepchildren. The other is a direct quote from the one where Spock goes blind.
