Timeline Question (Spoilers through Before Dishonor)

This is sorta minor, but I just wanted to get it straight in my head. TNG, Titan, and Destiny are all now in 2381. Full Circle will cover 2378-2381 for Voyager, and DS9 is in 2377.

But when do Resistance, Q&A, Before Dishonor, and Greater than the Sum take place? I know that the first two wouldn't necessarily cause problems, but a Borg attack in the solar system is the kind of thing that you'd think would be at least be mentioned in Articles of the Federation. I suppose Before Dishonor could have taken place during the two-month gap in the middle of the book (June & July 2380), but it still seems odd that there's no references to it. (Unless, of course, I'm misremembering; it's been awhile since i read it).

Also, are there any plans to bring eventually bring DS9 up to 2381 like Full Circle is doing, or will it keep going at its current pace?

according to GTTS, BD takes place in July 2380 in a gap in AOTF.

DS9 will continue at its own pace, as will KE and SCE would've.

There are no references to the Borg attack in AotF, because it had not been conceived yet when AotF was written.

The first few TNG-R novels weren't specifically dated, but in developing GTTS, I worked out a scheme to reconcile them with AotF:

* Resistance takes place in April 2380, between Parts 2 & 3 of AotF.

* Q & A takes place in early May 2380, during AotF Part 3, specifically in the gap of several weeks between Chapters 16 & 17.

* Before Dishonor takes place in early June 2380, shortly after the end of AotF Part 3 and two months before AotF Part 4.

* Greater Than the Sum begins in September 2380, a month after AotF Part 4, and continues through early January 2381, overlapping the rest of AotF. Actually most of it takes place between the sections of AotF, with the only direct overlap being in Ch. 3 where Geordi learns the outcome of B-4's sentience hearing depicted in AotF Part 5.

BD has to come after AotF Ch. 17, because that chapter has Bacco giving a commencement speech at Starfleet Academy and saying that the Federation had been at peace for the entire tenure of that graduating class. She couldn't have said that if there'd been a recent Borg invasion. As for why there's no mention of the invasion in the rest of AotF, that's because it's months in the past and the characters have moved on to dealing with newer crises. I'm sure they're still dealing with aspects of the aftermath in scenes not depicted in the book, but they have more immediate concerns to focus on.

Also, are there any plans to bring eventually bring DS9 up to 2381 like Full Circle is doing, or will it keep going at its current pace?

It will continue at the pace which is best for its storytelling. And that pace will no doubt be variable; the DS9R advanced three months in the three volumes of Worlds of DS9, but has only advanced 10 days in the two novels since then. I doubt it will remain as slow as its recent pace, but it won't be artificially accelerated to catch up with the other book lines.

What Christopher said. He worked out that timeline, partly in consultation with me and Dave. Destiny was designed to take place in early 2381 precisely so there wouldn't be a conflict with Articles (especially given the supporting role the Bacco Administration has in the trilogy).

Here's a vague timeline that may be a little off-kilter, but it mostly works as a guideline:

2379
TNG: A Time to Harvest by Dayton Ward & Kevin Dilmore
TNG: A Time to Love by Robert Greenberger
TNG: A Time to Hate by Robert Greenberger
TNG: A Time to Kill by David Mack
TNG: A Time to Heal by David Mack
"Till Death" by Bob Ingersoll & Thom Zahler (TNG: The Sky's the Limit)
TNG: A Time for War, a Time for Peace by Keith R.A. DeCandido (Chapters 1-15)
Titan: Taking Wing by Michael A. Martin & Andy Mangels (Chapter 1)
Star Trek Nemesis (all save the final scene)
"On the Spot" by David A. McIntee (TSTL)
"Trust Yourself When All Men Doubt You" by Michael Schuster & Steve Mollmann (TSTL)
TNG: Death in Winter by Michael Jan Friedman
"Improvisations on the Opal Sea: A Tale of Dubious Credibility" by Michael A. Martin & Andy Mangels (Tales from the Captain's Table)
A Time for War, a Time for Peace (Epilogue)
Taking Wing (Chapters 2-4)
Star Trek Nemesis (final scene)
Taking Wing (Chapters 5-22)

2380
Taking Wing (Chapters 23-24)
Titan: The Red King by Andy Mangels & Michael A. Martin
Articles of the Federation by Keith R.A. DeCandido (Chapters 1-6)
Titan: Orion's Hounds by Christopher L. Bennett
Articles of the Federation (Chapters 7-12)
TNG: Resistance by J.M. Dillard
Articles of the Federation (Chapters 13-16)
TNG: Q & A by Keith R.A. DeCandido
Articles of the Federation (Chapter 17)
TNG: Before Dishonor by Peter David
TNG: Greater than the Sum by Christopher L. Bennett (Prologue, Chapters 1-2)
Titan: Sword of Damocles by Geoffrey Thorne
Articles of the Federation (Chapters 18-21)
Greater than the Sum (Chapters 3-11)
Articles of the Federation (Chapters 22-28)
Greater than the Sum (Chapter 12)

2381
Greater than the Sum (Epilogue)
Destiny: Gods of Night by David Mack
Destiny: Mere Mortals by David Mack
Destiny: Lost Souls by David Mack

I'd rather not place A Singular Destiny, Titan: Over a Torrent Sea, VOY: Full Circle, or TNG: Losing the Peace just yet. Spoilers, don'tchaknow....

It's my personal belief that Nan Bacco must have been in a coma during the entirety of Before Dishonor.

Actually, I would tend to consider the most probable scenario to be that she was out of system and perhaps cut off from direct communication with Earth. That would nicely explain why Starfleet was depicted as taking its marching orders from the full Federation Council in Before Dishonor rather than from the President or, in lieu of the President, from the Federation Security Council (which A Time to Heal established has the authority to issue orders to Starfleet).

But, hey, Keith says it'll be covered, so cool beans. We'll see. :)

Don't you just hate it? The minute you step into the sonic shower your communicator chirps in the other room.

^ Voyager demonstrated that problem has been rectified with the addition of viewscreens in the shower stalls. ;)

"President Bacco--"
