Can anybody guess or know for sure, what the longest period of screen time that Kirk is absent during the first six movies?

I don't expect anybody will know the time -- just the movie and the "gap" where he is not seen.

Nope. I wasn't going to include credits, but the stretch I am thinking of is longer than any beginning or ending credit anyway.

Yes, the combined intro of Reliant/Regula and Khan are a combined 13:47 without Kirk. By far the longest stretch without Kirk.

What's the longest single scene in the first six movies? Either indoors or outdoors without cutting away to another location?

That would have been possible, but they kept cutting back and forth between the "journey" and the bridge for reaction shots.

That is a great guess.
My first guess is the Genesis tape scene but I don't know if the cutting away to the demonstration tape would allow it.

Actually, thinking about it -- Khan's intro scene has to over five minutes and no cuts away to anything outside the cargo carrier "room" they are in. But, granted, I thought of that after the above mentioned "longest without Kirk" segment above. Somebody's going to have to play roulette with their discs to find out for sure.

Without rewatching all 6 movies with a timer -- 99% sure it's the Khan scene. It runs a staggering 7:38 with not just no Kirk, but no big 3. The simulator scene runs a very respectable 4:47.
I'd be shocked if anything else came close.
But I have to check the "god" scene in 5 to see if it's going to medal.

Either the bit I mentioned or some of the Genesis planet scenes maybe?

In TMP it must be the Episilon Klingon bit.
In TVH it must be some at SF HQ.
In TFF the ambassadors and Sybok attack scene.
In TUC the only thing is the Fed President- Ambassadors scene.
Amazing how little of Trek spends away from the crew.
