Spoilers Time suit anchor and timeline I'm confused.

Why NOT?

Besides, we know the Federation survives into the 29th century ("Relativity") so another hundred years or so would not be that big of a stretch.
Remember they have to do something in the 32nd century, not just sightseeing (though it wouldn’t be so bad). So I’m guessing the Federation IS in-fact destroyed, but they take it upon themselves to figure out how/when it got destroyed and “fix” it.

Also wasn't the spore drive use to get back from the terrain dimension and I'm pretty sure they over shot by 9months so time travel with spore tech is still possible so they could still get back.

That's why she sent the signal that appeared over Kaminar. So Saru (who had undergone vahar'ai and survived) could return home and spread the word.
No, I mean how did she stop the Ba'ul annihilating the Kelpians? The Red Angel stopped their genocide death in it's tracks in a manner described as a "miracle" by the Disco crew.

Word of God from the writer of Calypso is they are.

Well something that uses a very similar name is - they could actually be the bad guys.

To be honest, at the moment, it's not clear that they have any solid plans or if they have, that they survived the new showrunner.

The suit can do anything that the script requires. It travels not only in time but also in space, travelling vast distances in the blink of an eye. It's like a space suit with its own spore drive that works via magic crystals. In addition to this it can launch an EMP attack on an entire planet. I think the best approach is not to think about it to much.

According to Einstein Space and Time are two words for the same phenomena.

Well, we don't know if she stopped anything. I mean, yes, this would be the only time out of the five where we might suspect her of actually doing something physical (nothing of the sort happens in "Brother" or "New Eden", even though it seems the arrival of the ship triggers disasters in both times and may count as "indirectly physical", and nothing at all happens at Boreth or Xahea). But we never learn the Ba'ul would have been contemplating genocide - this is merely the lunatic accusation by the disturbed and newly aggressive Saru. For all we know, they sent red beams to their pylons in order to shut those down and terminate this global project that had just been rendered irrelevant.
