Since we are discussing American politics here, folks, I may as well come out and say it:

Jeri Ryan helped Barack Obama become the first African American president of the United States.

My feeling, too; we only really know the characters they create or the directing they do, and that's plenty for me. (I know it's hard to avoid picking up news about them, though; just living, it comes around.)
