Three Three Three

The test of any great show is whether it can put out three great episodes, Back to back to back...in your opinion, did TOS achieve this? And, based on airdate, what were the three episodes that achieved this fete?

I think these were the best trilogies of the original Star Trek (you'll notice that almost all of them are from the first season).

Where No Man Has Gone Before
The Naked Time
The Enemy Within

The Corbomite Maneuver
The Menagerie, Part I
The Menagerie, Part II

Balance of Terror
Shore Leave
The Galileo Seven

Space Seed
A Taste of Armageddon
This Side of Paradise

Return to Tomorrow
Patterns of Force
By Any Other Name

Day of the Dove
For the World Is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky
The Tholian Web

I'll submit the following group of three:

"The Squire of Gothos"
"Arena"
"Tomorrow is Yesterday"

I'm a really big fan of "Arena," much more so than some of y'all, but on balance I think most fans would admit this is a nice triple feature. :D

I think the best THREE IN A ROW were

Balance of Terror
Shore Leave
The Galileo Seven...
