Thoughts on Chuck Season 5 so far

What do you think of the fifth season of Chuck so far?

Do you love it?

Do you hate it?

A mix of both?

How is it shaping up to you?

I think it has been a good season for the most part. But I have been feeling since the seventh episode, the season has losing stream and lacking direction. It feels like things are being dragged along.

Haven't seen the most recent one yet, but everything up to then has been really good (the Shaw episode being probably my favorite).

But while the writing is still strong, it does have a bit of that "going through the motions" feel to it, so it's probably for the best that it end.

My thoughts on Season 5:

I still haven't seen Season 4, and I really need to get caught up!

I think it's an improvement over season 4, which I still liked the majority of (just not as much as seasons 2 and 3 especially). I like where it (looks like it) is going, but there's obviously a lot riding on the finale... which really *is* going to be the series finale this time, unlike all those earlier potential series finales.

It's been pretty good. I can tell that they're running out of ideas so it's a good thing it's ending this season. Much like the final season of TNG...it was good but you could tell they were stretching to find new ideas for the series.

I liked the latest episode quite a bit, but all in all I found it fairly boring so far. Maybe it's just me, but I just don't find it nearly as entertaining as seasons 2 & 3. At this point, I'm glad it's the final season and am hoping for a decent finale.

This is pretty much where I stand. I love the characters enough that I'm willing to put up with the uninspired plots, but I'm glad it's ending soon and am also hoping for a kickass finale...I expect it will be good since there have been no less than 2 or 3 past episodes that would work perfectly as finales so far!

Same here, I think I miss the Intersect.

Yeah I'm kinda surprised they ditched the entire Intersect idea, considering it was such an integral part of the show for so long.

Chuck may be a more competent spy than he was before, but it still just isn't as fun without his kung fu.
