Those Trek Actors in the Background....

Some of you may have already known these actors, but I had just learned actor Fred Williamson was in a classic Star Trek episode as 'Anka.' ('The Cloud Minders').

Fred Williamson was known as an actor from the 'blaxploitation' era, and showed up in Robert Rodriguez's 'From Dusk Till Dawn.' (And projects here and there).

Another, (courtesy of the boyfriend who pointed it out) noticed the actor--Kevin Grevioux (I had to look it up the name)--who plays one of the lycans in the 'Underworld' movies usually is in the background of DS9 episodes. He also was one of the creators of the Underworld franchise.

And yes, I'm looking forward to the new 'Underworld' coming soon!

Are there any other actors/actresses who had bit parts in any of series and became well-known later...?

David Soul was one of those red guys in "The Apple," and later went onto stardom - and then oblivion - on Starsky and Hutch.

Yes! I recall someone pointing that out to me....

He was actually the husband of actress Julia Nickson-Soul who was in a TNG, DS9, and B5 episode.

There's the well known Teri Hatcher who was in the TNG episode "The Outrageous Okona" as a transporter chief before she became famous

Judson Earney Scott, who played Joachim in The Wrath of Khan, showed up in several episodes of V and The X-Files, as well as guest spots on Babylon 5, TNG and VOY. He also has a small role in Blade.

I remember his short stint in the booth on Monday Night Football. (He ended up being replaced by Alex Karras.)
