'My God, Jim, where are we?'
'Out of control and blind as a bat!'
'May fortune favour the foolish.'
'no doubt about your memory, Captain Spock'
'Guessing is not in my nature'
'Nobody's perfect'
'You're not exactly catching us at our best'
'He's not exactly firing on all thrusters'
'Our mission? You're half human, Spock, haven't you got any goddamm feelings about that?'
'OK, the truth.
I am, from what on your calendar, would be the late 23rd Century.'
I've told this one here before: a true story.
I had written the convention biography on Suzie Plakson (Dr Selar, K'Ehleyr, Lady Q, Tarah) and she loved it and asked the con organizers to introduce me to her. I was dressed as Groppler Zorn ("Encounter at Farpoint") at the time (ie. long, straggly, white hair, striped nightshirt, ugg boots), and I shook her hand and said...
"You aren't exactly catching me at my best."
I dunno what it is about Suzie Plakson, shes just such a likeable person, I'd actually marry her if she asked me!
