Thomas Sasser has passed away

I think he created the Abbe class. I'm not really sure if he designed it and Jackill came out with the drawings later, or if Jackill designed it first and Thomas came out with the resin conversion kit later.

Pretty sure the Indomitable class was Tom's, though.

I remember the model that was on Griffworks (way back in 1997-8) was really awesome I think was that :) :techman:

Thanks, Maurice! I wanted to link that clip, but I wasn't sure if it would have been appropriate under the circumstances. It certainly demonstates Sasser had an offbeat sense of humor.

Sincerely,

Bill

It's sad that this is the only time I've seen a picture of him. He was a masterful artist and engineer. Good-bye, Thomas...

So that is who the Sasser was names after! Sorry I only learned about him after he passed away.

High Praise from Shaw:

Worse--as per the go fund me site--his wife lost her job:

Scuzzball employers...

If I could have died in his place--I would have. The world needed his creativity. Meanwhile, idiot jocks score cash.

So many people I thought a lot of have suffered so-- Robin Williams, storm researcher Matt Biddle, who is slowly slipping away.

Now this.

I really hate this world
