That is, all the speculation, the little bits of rumor that come flitting in...that we'll soon forget when Russell Crowe is, unfortunately, nowhere near a Star Trek set. It is just a ton of fun, in the last week there have been rumors about 2 bona-fide A-listers connected to a Star Trek movie, not counting Tom Hanks in FC, when is the last time that happened? Connery for TFF?

Does anyone else feel that all the hubbub surrounding the recasting of JTK is similar to the reaction to Daniel Craig as 007? There was some viciousness directed towards him, and to be honest, I feel he was the best Bond since Lazenby...

Anyway, I try to stay positive...so I am constantly disappointed.

It's fun, but I'm also a little anxious about McCoy and Kirk...the rest, eh, I'm sure I can adjust to whomever they pick.

I really hope we get some news about Kirk soon. The wait is killing me! And hopefully they make a great choice. They seem to be doing well so far...

See, the way I keep from falling into deep depression about everything in life is by being a pessimist. I assume that things are going to go all to hell every single time... so life is filled with a lot of pleasant surprises and not very many unpleasant ones.

Trust me, it actually works... I have yet to find myself compelled by voices in my head to run off to a book repository...

I can't help but wonder if J.J. has already cast the role, but is holding out on releasing the news. Still, I'd think we'd know fairly soon, as filming begins in less than three months now.
