The porn film "Pirates" (a Pirates of the Carribbean" takeoff), had a budget of 10 million dollars, which is unheard of in porn films, of which most budgets are precisely zero (except for the actors' salaries). "Space Nuts" (loosely based on Spaceballs), also had a large budget.

If there's interest enough for this to become a series, I'd bet more money would be thrown it's way for better special effects and sets.

I wouldn't normally reply to this topic, but had to say, what's the point of coming up with a plot? 'The Naked Now' episode from TNG and TOS could let them do whatever they wanted to?!?

The first film this sequel is based on has as a special feature:
A NON-SEX feature has a length of 22 minutes. That actually has a plot. Pretty cool. Kind of like a high budget fan film.
I would expect this sequel to have a NON-SEX feature too.

Since I'm not into purchasing porno films that is the reason I bought the first one and will probably buy this one.
Hey its TOS-based Trek and the original characters and basically a fan film on disc 2. You could throw away the feature's disc 1 and have a fan film with high production values.
