The New Year was still ringing in when news broke that Supernatural was making a big change to its tried-and-true formula--producers were adding a third Winchester brother. Now comes word of which lucky young actor will be the newest dreamboat demon killer, and the possibility that this may all be a bit of a prank.
Actor Jake Abel will play brother to Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) in the April 23 episode of Supernatural, reports TVGuide.com. Abel character will be Adam Milligan, the result of some extracurricular sexual activities by dad John Winchester on one of his adventures. Abel's previous credits are pretty limited, with his biggest role being in the short-lived Threshold.
Most fans, upon hearing the news, were outraged as Dean and Sam are the cornerstones of the show and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke has repeatedly said the show's heart comes from the relationship between the two brothers. However, knowing how tricky the Supernatural writers can be, this whole thing may be more of a stunt--just look at the episode's title: "Jump the Shark."

The way I see it, this could tie into the larger mytharc. Unlikely.
This could be Trickster Round 3, possible.
This could be a total lie for the sole purpose of sowing confusion and dischord amongst spoiler hounds. Which would be awesome.
 
Naw. This Jake Abel chap isn't smoking hot. As we all know, this series requires Winchester boys to be smoking hot. It's the law.

This new guy isn't a real Wincest ... er, Winchester boy.
 
I tend to agree that Kripke and Co. have something else going on. I don't see John Winchester as the type who would've slept with someone and fathered another son and somehow forgotten to mention it to Sam and Dean at some point. Don't see how out of the blue another Winchester boy would suddenly turn up when they're fighting a war against the Queen Bitch of Demons....would make me suspicious.

Like I've said before, if they really need a new sibling then they should just bring Jo back and reveal that John was her real dad, like they kind of hinted at.
 
Sorry if I spoiled it but the way it was mentioned around other boards was it was extremely public knowledge that a third winchester would appear this season, just who it was was a secret, which wasn't in the title.
 
Dim-witted thread title is not a spoiler at all, it doesn't give anything away, nope. Not at all.

Agreed. There's no reason why the OP couldn't

  1. Have put the spoiler information in spoiler code tags
  2. Cleaned up the post to remove the and [COLOR] tags of the cut & pasted information


Candlelight, please use a bit more discretion with future posts. Not all of us read or are aware of everything disbursed regarding all entertainment news.

The subject should have read "Supernatural Spoilers" rather than " Third Winchester sibling cast in Supernatural (spoilers)". Adding "(spoilers)" to the title doesn't make sense when the preceding words have already ruined it :vulcan::rolleyes:

Well I did get spoiled by the TOPIC, not the thread. I don't really care much, but I guess I can see why some people would be a little irked.

Sorry I don't read Hebrew so I don't read stuff right to left
