Ditto that. One of my biggest disappointments in this trailer is that we didn't see Old Spock.
He's been significantly redesigned. His ears are much bigger and they've reduced the curve and bulk of his ass.
Priceless!
Do you think they'll do something like what was done with The Dark Knight? Comcast Cable Company had a half dozen 8 minute shorts that customers could watch for free. They were done in a TV news magazine format with Anthony Michael Hall's reporter/character providing biographies of various main characters. They added to the background story but were not in the film. They were great. You didn't need to see them to follow the film's story but they were great at whetting the appitites of fans. I hope they're included on the DVD.
Also, I would love it if another trailer for STXI was done in the same format as the one for STVI, the one that showed no actual footage from the film but instead showed clips from TOS and previous films with Christopher Plumber doing the voice over:
"For one quarter of a century, they have thrilled us with their adventures, amazed us with their discoveries, and inspired us with their courage. Their ship has journeyed beyond imagination; her name has become legend; her crew, the finest ever assembled. We have traveled beside them from one corner of the galaxy to the other. They have been our guides, our protectors, and our friends." Classic stuff!
Imagine Nimoy saying something like:
"For almost half a century, they have thrilled us with their adventures, amazed us with their discoveries, and inspired us with their courage. Their ship has journeyed beyond imagination; her name has become legend; her crew, the finest ever assembled. We have traveled beside them from one corner of the galaxy to the other. They have been our guides, our protectors, and our friends. Come see how it all began."
