These 3 things would make "Discovery" the best Trek ever!

After much considerations I think I can safely say that "Discovery" could very well flop if it doesn't do these things. I am sure you will all agree.

1 Number One must fight a monster in every episode. First they can start off with the established monsters like the Gorn,Mugato,Horta and salt monster. Then they can start creating new ones like maybe a walking fish that drags people back to his pond to eat or a giant spider.

2 The entire show should be filmed in the style of the much popular "found footage" movies that first got started with "Blair Witch Project." Imagine how scary landing parties will be when you never know when a klingon is going to pop out of nowhere and attack someone.

3 We know space hippies exsit in "TOS" so we need to explore this idea. Maybe that Herbert guy they talked bout can even be a major character. Also Spock seemed to to relate to them so why not Sarek as well? What if Sarek was the guy who got the entire movement, started Maybe Sarek's first name is Herbert if you wanted him to be against the hippies?

Depends on the movie. It's a technique, which can be effective if done well.

As in, say, THE VISIT, which I quite liked.

I don't see how Discovery can be expected to succeed without Claudia Black in the cast, myself, but I'm willing to keep an open mind and settle for Claudia Black guest-starring as a different character in every single episode.

I just asumed they would be one the monsters the Number One character fights. I wouldn't want them to be to earth like so, maybe they should also be robots.

2. The episodes will be shot using the rear facing camera of a smart-phone. In all scenes it will be obvious that one of the actors is holding the phone at arms length.

In a uncredited special appearance, Shatner will play the ship's chef. His character will be affectionately known as "Grubbie."
