Theresa May's days are numbered

How long do you think May will be able to hang on as PM, and who do think will succeed her as PM and Conservative Party Leader? I'm thinking it will either be Boris Johnson or David Davis. JMO!

If I were a Conservative MP after the top job, I would wait until after Brexit takes effect. After all in politics if things are going well after Brexit, it'll be because of your inspired leadership, if things are going not so well (and if you were pro-remain) it'll be because of the previous PM. A win-win situation.

Yes, Michael Gove, Boris or David Davis, with Davis being marginally the less smug and despicable of the 3. Whoever it is, it will all collapse within months.

I doubt very much it will be Gove, considering he became PNG after backstabbing Johnson. Davis would be a safe, moderate compromise, but he doesn't have the support or charisma of Johnson, whom I think will probably win in the end.

May will be gone by Christmas. I think they should just hurry up and get the impending contest over and done with. Otherwise May will start Brexit negotiations and not be able top finish them.

Just as calling for a GE backfired on the Tories who quite frankly ran a poor campaign, it might backfire on the opposition parties if they try and get another GE in the Autumn.

As I've said somewhere else, I think they'll be a vote of no confidence at Conference in October and there will be a new General Election early November.

But it's Parliament that has to pass a vote of no condfidence under the Fixed Terms Parliament Act in order to trigger a GE.

But I didn't say anything to disagree with that. Just because they're not in session doesn't mean the signatures needed to trigger a vote of no confidence can't be gathered.

Yes probably. Only because the Tories have totally lost it though. Boris is one of the big reasons we are in this ridiculous mess in the first place, and everyone knows it. he's a symbol of everything people have come to hate about the Tories. He was OK in a relatively harmless role like Mayor, but had he actually had time to horribly embarrass himself as Foreign Secretary, he would have done, but he has not even made it a year before all this shitstorm came about, partly because of his decision to support Brexit.

Electing him would be a disaster for them I think. People don't want any more of that lot. The Conservatives should clean ranks and restore order if they want to remain in power.

If you think she looks tired now, give her a few months of having to sweat the vote count on every little bill, not to mention the big Brexit stuff.
