As much as I love 'Phineas and Ferb', that line in the intro song irks me to no end. For there to be 104 days of summer vacation, it would roughly have to start before Memorial Day and end after Labor Day. Is this a regional thing? Is there anywhere in the known world where kids get that much time off?
My brother also reminded me of an old X-Mas 'Charles In Charge' wherein one of the parents states 'Well, the kids are off for the next 3 weeks'. WTF? My memory says it was more like 10 days, IF the calendar was generous. I can see a couple of odd situations resulting in 14 days, but very rarely.
Do TV writers all have this weirdzo notion of kids' time off?
