Hello,

This may seem like a silly and pedantic question, but I was trying to figure out whether the opening and closing credits has a theremin playing on its own or if it's a woman singing....or both.

Anyone know?

From Wikipedia:-

Coloratura soprano Loulie Jean Norman imitated the sound and feel of the theremin for Alexander Courage's theme for the original Star Trek TV series. Soprano Elin Carlson sang Norman's part when CBS-Paramount TV remastered the program's title sequence in 2006.

Ah, yes....Wikipedia. I should've known better really.

The theme music for the first few episodes featured an electric violin, which actually sounds quite different from a theremin.
