Theatre fans (Particularly Brits). 'Waiting for Godot' UK tour.

Starring Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen it should be an awesome evening.
Is anybody else in this forum attending? If so where and when?. If not, any thoughts? I have my ticket: Milton Keynes, 17th March 09 =] Perhaps no one will reply to this thread and ill have embarrassed myself

Damn you, sir, my jealousy now knows no bounds.

As soon as I heard that those two were going to be starring in Waiting for Godot - a play I love and have yet to see performed live - I began searching for available tickets, but everywhere I look is sold out.

Thoughts-wise, I think it'll be great - as long as they chose the right actor for the right role. I think McKellan would suit the agitated and more alive Vladimir, with Stewart as the world weary and sedatry one - but then that's just my personal opinion.

A word of advice - don't drink before you go to a performance, it can really cause havoc.

According to The Guardian, Stewart will play Vladimir. The article says that they toyed with the idea of alternating the roles, which would have been intriguing....

I toyed with going, but I'm a bit Patrick Stewarted out. I've seen him on stage so many times in the last couple of years that I'm going to give this a miss. I don't think that the tour is very extensive before it transfers to the West End.
