Hey everyone !
I've always been a big fan of James Horner's work on Star Trek II & III, his work on these scores is simply astounding
And so I recently transcribed and recorded all of the french horn and trumpet parts of several cues from the Wrath of Khan score (Main Title, Battle In The Mutara Nebula and Epilogue/End Title to be precise )
Video also includes sheet music which is all synched to the movie

Oh my gods, Marc, that was incredible! You play wonderfully.
I love James Horner's ST II & III (and Aliens) scores, but I hadn't realised how full of time changes they are - I was having difficulty keeping up (my days in a school orchestra were quite some time ago). Exhilarating!!

Some of the music Horner wrote in there is actually very challenging to play on the french horn, even for professional players !
Like that really fast chromatic line at the end for example, landing on the pretty high note ^^
