The Women of Star Trek (TOS)

Those look great; never seen them before. I look forward to it! Thanks.

(Hilarious mission statement: "Here's proof that Kirk was NOT a playboy and Star Trek was NOT a sexist show. It was an anti-sexist show: one of the first, and one of the all-time best...From now on, when anyone rolls into the Trek fan forum, spits their gum out onto the floor, and oafishly declares that Kirk was a heterosexual horndog who porked all of the chicks, I want you all to boldly and confidently SCOFF at them.")

They forgot one of the most smokin' hot Enterprise crewwomen. Carolyn Nelson.

Nice screen cap, Todd. I'd forgotten about Nelson. She had such a small role, unfortunately... :(

Wasn't there a site cataloging all of the extras ever on TOS out there somewhere? Last I saw, the author was part way through the first season. He had a pretty comprehensive of the women in the early episodes. Anyone remember what I'm talking about and have a link?

You may be thinking of this project that Neopeius has been working on. There's also a much older guest star database by another guy, but some of the image links aren't working.

That's it! I can't believe I didn't bookmark it last time I was there. Thank you.

Sorry--I really need to work more on that :) It's a lot of fun. Right now I'm waiting through hundreds of old STL pictures. After that...

You're correct, M'Sharak--it is "The Deadly Years."

Btw, notice how Chekov is eying her zipper while Sulu is admiring her hairdo.

Sweet! I look forward to your updates! :p

On a different note, does anybody know who the actress playing the nurse in these two pictures is?:

I swear I've seen her in something else but can't quite remember.

Her name is Joan Webster. She seems to have had only one other role, also uncredited, in the 1947 Sinbad the Sailor.

Well then. Since I've never seen that movie I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that I'm getting her confused with someone else.

Thanks for the tip! And I never realized MA had such detailed entries on the casting of extras. An awesome resource!
