I've tried but usually failed when it comes to whisky - living in the West the peaty whiskys are what's popular, and they're just not for me.

I bought a Glenmorangie 12 year last week back home and have enjoyed some sipping. However, in light of passing my Greek class, my SIL and BIL annoying me with their wine-talk, and just the general principal, I picked up a bottle of Laphroig at my in-laws yesterday, and have really, really, been enjoying rolling about in its peaty, smoky goodness. That's a definite winner!
