what did you think of this fan film? we filmed part of it back in 2015 and it never got finished. so i went back and did a cage/menagerie style way to get this out so we all could see it out there in some fashion

I liked this fanfilm . It's very mysterious and intriguing. Great job with the storyline and the characters. were interesting.

I'll have to look at it again for better story comprehension, but here are some general comments: really nice animated nebula when seen from the main screen.
That later shot with the 3 enemy ships all pivoting to run away, it's way too obvious it's one animated model that's duplicated 3 times: try scattering the animation at least so the same movement for all 3 doesn't happen at the same exact frame if your budget is too low to have someone animate 3 different passes.
I notice quite a few editorial glitches throughout that could stand to have someone trim it a bit more. One example is when minard leaves the bridge at 9:05, the camera lingers on the Captain, then a two shot where Jack and the Vulcan SO look at each other which are really unnecessary, because the focus at this point should stay on Minard. As soon as the turbolift doors close, you should cut straight to the shot of Minard on the floor with the blue epileptic light effects.
