Not what it's meant to represent I suppose, but it gives the impression of the ship sticking out like a sore thumb, frozen solid to the surface of some forbidding looking body. Although there's no resemblance, it just puts me in mind of Timeless.

The one thing I found really cool about Voyager was the nacelles shifting upwards when it went to warp. Great unique effect.

I like all the Star Trek opening sequences, especially TNG, but I think my favorite has to be Voyager's opening.

The theme: majestic. Every scene of the Voyager, just beautiful They somehow cram almost every known astral event from flying near a star, to flying through a nebula, passing a comet, flying through Saturn-like planet rings, and an even an eclipse. Even to this day, the FX hold up, IMHO. Just plain awesome.

Voyager's opening was indeed beautiful. Along with the extra special features, Voyager is so rip for remastering because of the special effects used. Just think how gorgeous the opening sequence would look on Blu Ray. Alas it won't happen.

I can't really say that Voyager was one of my favourite-looking hero ships, but it was nice to see a variation on the traditional Starfleet design.
