I realized recently: if you check out the nationalities of the various Trek actors, you've got some incredible national diversity between them. Here are the ones I know about:

TOS:
William Shatner and James Doohan are (were) both Canadian.
Walter Koenig is the son of Lithuanian immigrants.
Leonard Nimoy has Ukrainian parentage.

TNG:
Patrick Stewart and Marina Sirtis are both British. Sirtis is the daughter of Greek parents.

DS9:
Alexander Siddig was born in Sudan and spent time living in England; he has one parent from each country.
Rene Auberjonois: has a French name with an American accent. Is he French Canadian?

VOY:
Rumor says that Jeri Ryan is an Army brat who was born and raised in Germany.

ENT:
Linda Park was born in South Korea.


I'm sure I'm missing some others!

Rene is actually American (New Yorker by birth) but his family history is very interesting. Related to both Napoleon Bonaparte (yes, that Napoleon) and Marshal Murat (yes, as in Napoleon's Marshal Murat)...

Also, has a painter and a journalist in the family.
